Yes. Depending on the tour and location, I can meet guests directly at their hotel, train station, ferry port or another convenient meeting point. Tours that include private transportation can also include pickup and return where specified. For boat experiences, the meeting and departure point will be confirmed in advance according to the itinerary.

Absolutely. Personalization is at the heart of Lakes & Stories. Tours can be adapted around your interests, available time, pace and travel style. Whether you are interested in history, art, architecture, gardens, food, wine, shopping or photography, I can create an itinerary around you. I can also adapt experiences for families, older travelers and guests with limited mobility wherever the destination allows. Private celebrations, anniversaries, birthdays, honeymoon experiences, school groups and other special occasions can also be arranged.

We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly between spring and early autumn, when Lake Como is at its busiest. Early booking also gives us the best opportunity to secure preferred entrance times, boats, transportation and other experiences. Last-minute requests are always welcome and will be accommodated whenever availability allows.

Please contact me as soon as possible if you are delayed. I will always do my best to adapt the itinerary, but the scheduled finishing time may need to remain unchanged when the experience involves timed entrance tickets, ferries, boats, transportation or other reservations.

Most of our walking and cultural tours operate in light rain or changeable weather, and whenever possible we adapt the itinerary to keep the experience enjoyable. Boat experiences are weather-dependent and safety always comes first. If conditions make it unsafe to operate, we will try to reschedule the experience or offer an appropriate alternative. If the boat experience has to be cancelled by the operator for safety reasons and cannot be rescheduled, the amount paid for the cancelled service will be refunded.

We understand that travel plans can change. Cancellations made more than 20 days before the tour date receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made 10–20 days before the tour receive a 70% refund, and cancellations made 6–9 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made 5 days or less before the tour are non-refundable. Any non-refundable third-party costs already booked specifically for your experience, such as attraction tickets, transportation or other reserved services, may be deducted from the refund where applicable.
